We are beyond excited to introduce our herd sire, Boeshane. When we realized in the fall of 2016 that the buck we were trying to use was not settling any does, we had a pretty short timeframe to find a replacement. It just so happened that Black Mesa Ranch had a mature buck for sale and so ensued a 1400 mile road trip with our little family in our trusty van to pick up an adult buck in full rut. What an adventure!
We could have looked the world over and still have been hard pressed to find a nicer boy. Boe's temperament is absolutely gold – he is gentle and mellow, even in rut. In addition, he is part of the ADGA Sire Development Program, meaning he is the offspring of two very impressive animals and has genetic potential to be an outstanding sire. We are so excited to see what he will add to our herd.

We are thrilled beyond words to have brought home another herdsire from Black Mesa Ranch!
Abraham's dam, Reese, is what we would hope for all of our does: Elegant, strong, and extremely productive. Reese has peaked at over two gallons for the past two years and is on the 2017 ADGA Top Ten Breed Leader list as number 1 for butterfat! She also has the impressive Linear Appraisal score of 91 VVEE as a 4 year old. Abraham's sire has a very impressive pedigree full of stylish, productive goats.
Abraham is an amazingly gentle, easygoing boy and he passes that lovely temperament to his kids. His daughters are looking amazing and are milking very well out of beautiful udders. We are so excited to see how this boy continues to impact our herd!

Goldthwaite is a very consistent line that milks well, show competitively and have that classic dual purpose Nubian style that we love so much. Fegor is a lovely boy and we are profoundly delighted to have the opportunity to add Goldthwaite genetics to our herd. We are expecting that he will add length, width, and strength of bone to his offspring.
